The 2014 wedding season has officially begun. We actually went to our first wedding of the year in February, but spring and summer is the time of the year that tends to be packed with weddings and wedding related festivities. We’re excited to celebrate with so many of our friends and family, and we’re especially looking forward to having lots of chances to see our college friends. It will be a busy season for sure!
This past weekend, I helped host a shower at my parent’s house for one of our good family friends. She’s getting married next weekend, and we had fun throwing one last shower before the big day. Here are a few photos I snapped…
My contribution to the shower was the invitations and a cake. The bride loves all things pink, so I tried to incorporate as much pink into the invitation as I could. I created the bouquet using the paint tool in Photoshop, and then did the rest in InDesign. For the cake, I ended up making an almond layer cake with strawberry filling and strawberry buttercream.
Didn’t my mom do such a great job decorating the table?
The bride with all the hostesses plus her mom and future mother-in-law. We didn’t quite get everyone looking at the same camera, but we did the best we could.
Here’s to the first of many celebrations!
